The DFB have announced the length of Johan Manzambi’s ban, following his sending off in the game against VfB Stuttgart on Saturday.

The midfielder was sent off for endangering an opponent with a high-foot challenge and has received a two-game ban as a result. The decision was made following charges brought about by the DFB’s Control Committee, an organisation that ensures compliance with the DFB’s regulations and can propose charges against those who are deemed to have violated them.

Manzambi was sent off by referee Daniel Siebert in injury time of Freiburg’s game with VfB Stuttgart on 13th September. Both the club and the player have accepted the ruling, meaning the two-match ban is now official.
