It was already clear that Freiburg’s opening fixture would take place on a Sunday due to the scheduling of the second leg of the preceding UEFA Conference League play-off tie. SCF will kick off the new Bundesliga season by welcoming SV Werder Bremen to the Europa-Park Stadion on Sunday, 30th August, at 15:30 CEST. The side will then have three consecutive Saturday afternoon fixtures. First up is an away trip to SC Paderborn 07 on Saturday, 5th September, followed by a home meeting with Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday, 12th September. Freiburg’s fourth fixture will see them travel to Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, 19th September. All three matches kick off at 15:30 CEST.

The exact dates and kick-off times for the following matchdays will be confirmed at a later date.
