Johan Manzambi’s Switzerland went out in the quarter-finals, while Philipp Lienhart and Austria were beaten by Spain in the round of 32. Croatia and Igor Matanovic lost to Portugal in the same round, while Yuito Suzuki and Keisuke Goto’s Japan also saw their tournament come to an end in the round of 32 against Brazil.
