SC to face St. Gallen in friendly

First Team
07.03.2024

SC Freiburg will play a friendly behind closed doors against FC St. Gallen in the next international break.

The second half of the season features only one international break, and those players not called up for their national teams will take part in a friendly against Swiss side FC St. Gallen. The match will kick off on Thursday, 21st March at 14:00 CET.

FCSG currently occupy fifth place in the Swiss Super League. If they maintain that position, they will qualify for the league’s Championship Group, in which the top six teams compete for the league title and European qualification. Chima Okoroji, who played twice for SC Freiburg, will be reunited with the club after his move from SV Sandhausen to the Green-Whites in the summer transfer window.

The two sides last met in a friendly in July 2022, which saw SC emerge 4-3 victors after 120 minutes.
