SC Freiburg and JobRad unveiled the club’s new shirts for the 2023/24 season on Wednesday, the first to feature JobRad as the main and shirt sponsor.
As the clock struck 12 at noon on Wednesday, SC fans were able to feast their eyes on the new Nike/11Teamsports shirts their team will be wearing in 2023/24. The shirts were unveiled on SC’s social media channels and official website, as well as the club’s fan shops and JobRad’s company headquarters.
The Freiburg-based company will go into their first season as the main sponsor of SC Freiburg, and will have their logo displayed on the front of the shirts. The JobRad Campus is located in downtown Freiburg, and was therefore a fitting location to unveil the new shirts and discuss the cooperation with the club. The shirts were delivered to the stage by bicycle, where they were presented to SC chairman Oliver Leki, JobRad founder Ulrich Prediger and JobRad CEO Florian Baur.
SC chairman Oliver Leki said: “Presenting our new shirts ahead of the new season is always a highlight for us as a club. To be able to host this year’s shirt presentation at the headquarters of our new main sponsor, JobRad, shows the significance of our new partnership. I am now looking forward to our cooperation with JobRad officially getting underway.”
Ulrich Prediger, founder of JobRad and deputy chairman of the JobRad Holding SE supervisory board, said: “Getting to watch the SC players run out in the stadium wearing their new shirts for the first time will fulfill a lifelong dream of mine, as a Freiburg native – it will be a real goosebumps moment. I would never have thought it possible when we founded JobRad 15 years ago. Together with SC, we will be able to excite more people to take up bicycling and contribute to a better future for us all.”
Florian Baur, CEO of JobRad GmbH, said: “As the main and shirt sponsor of SC Freiburg, we have been able to put service bicycles in the spotlight like never before. By having the JobRad logo on the front of the shirt, and by hosting various events in and around the stadium, we are aiming to target those who haven’t heard of our company before. SC offer a great platform for us to share the benefits and joys of switching to a bicycle or e-bike.”
All shirts made from 100% recycled materials
Once again, SC Freiburg will go into the season with home, away and third shirt options. All three shirts are available in authentic match versions, which will be worn by the players. All three shirts are manufactured by Nike and made of 100% recycled polyester.
The new SC home shirt has been given a modern look with an eye-catching geometric pattern in the club colours of red and white on the front of the shirt. The red sleeves provide another colour accent. The new away shirt mirrors the same pattern as the home shirt, but in black and anthracite. The 2023/24 third shirt comes in classic white. The highlight of the third shirt is the textured pattern on the front of the shirt, in which the club design elements of the griffin head and monogram can be seen in an alternating hexagon pattern.
All three shirts are available to purchase in adult and youth sizes in all SC fan shops and online.
