The DFL released the exact timings for the first six Bundesliga matchdays of the 2021/22 season on Wednesday (7 July). SC Freiburg will play five of the games on Saturdays and one on a Sunday.
Our SCF boys will begin their new Bundesliga campaign on 14th August with a trip to Bielefeld (kick-off at 15:30 CEST). On Matchday 2 (Saturday, 21st August, kick-off at 15:30 CEST), Freiburg’s first home game of the season will be against Borussia Dortmund, the side who finished third last year. One week later (28th August at 15:30 CEST), SCF will play VfB Stuttgart away.
After the first international break of the season, SCF will welcome 1. FC Köln to Freiburg on Saturday, 11th September for a 15:30 CEST kick-off. Exactly one week later, the Breisgauer boys are off to Mainz (18th September at 15:30 CEST). On Matchday 6, Freiburg have their first Sunday game of the season as FC Augsburg come to town (26th September, 17:30 CEST).
