SC Freiburg will face 2. Bundesliga side Fortuna Düsseldorf in the second round of the DFB-Pokal. The draw was made on Sunday at the German Football Museum in Dortmund.

UEFA have confirmed the schedule for the league phase of the Europa League. SC will begin against Swiss side FC Basel on Wednesday, 24th September.
