SC Freiburg suffered a 5-0 defeat away against VfB Stuttgart, and will go into the international break having collected six points from their first three Bundesliga games of the season.

After the draw was made for the Europa League group stages on Friday, UEFA have now announced the exact schedule for SC Freiburg.

The draw for this year’s Europa League was completed at lunchtime on Friday at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. SC Freiburg will play against West Ham United, Olympiacos and FK TSC Backa Topola in Group A.

SC Freiburg haven’t managed to start the season with three consecutive victories in their history in the Bundesliga – after their wins against Hoffenheim and Bremen they now have the chance to do just that on Saturday in Stuttgart (kick-off at 15:30 CEST).

SC will face Karlsruher SC during the upcoming international break on Thursday 7th September (14:00 CEST) at the GRENKE Stadion in Wildparkareal.

SC Freiburg celebrated a 1-0 win against SV Werder Bremen in their first home game of the season. Maximilian Philipp scored the match-winning goal late in second-half injury time to help the Breisgau side record their second win in as many matches.

The Bundesliga is back at the Europa-Park Stadion. SC will face SV Werder Bremen this Saturday at 15:30 CEST on matchday 2.

SC Freiburg have confirmed Keven Schlotterbeck’s loan move to VfL Bochum. The 26-year-old was previously on loan at Bochum during the second half of last season.

SC have completed the signing of Maximilian Philipp from VfL Wolfsburg. The 29-year-old began his career in Freiburg and has initially returned on loan.

SC recorded a 2-1 win in their first game of the season away at TSG Hoffenheim. An own goal and Roland Sallai finish was enough for SC to come away with all three points.
