The German Football Association (DFB) confirmed the dates and kick-off times for the second round of the DFB-Pokal on Thursday. SC will take on VfL Wolfsburg at the Europa-Park Stadion on Wednesday, 28th October at 18:00 CET. The second-round draw was made at the German Football Museum in Dortmund last Saturday.

The Wolfsburg game falls in the middle of a week with a distinctly Bavarian flavour for SC, who host FC Bayern beforehand before travelling to FC Augsburg afterwards.

SC booked their place in the second round with a 5-1 win over 3. Liga side Fortuna Düsseldorf. Wolfsburg, who were relegated from the Bundesliga last season and have made a strong start to their 2. Bundesliga campaign with eight points from four games, beat Regionalliga side VSG Altglienicke 6-5 on penalties.
