Louey Ben Farhat joined Karlsruher SC from Stuttgarter Kickers as a youth player and made his 2. Bundesliga debut for KSC at the age of 17 in March 2024. He broke a metatarsal last August and missed much of the first half of the season. The German-Tunisian returned to feature in every game after the winter break, scoring five goals. He has made 36 senior appearances for KSC to date, with nine goals and three assists. Ben Farhat also made his first two appearances for Tunisia in friendlies earlier this year.

The agreement will see Louey Ben Farhat join SC Freiburg while initially remaining at Karlsruher SC on loan. 

“We’re delighted to have signed such an exciting young player in Louey. He’s technically very gifted, reads space well and can pose a goal threat himself, while also having the ability to find his teammates in dangerous positions,” said sporting director Klemens Hartenbach. “The loan back to KSC is the ideal solution. Louey will be able to continue playing regularly at a high level there, while we’ll also be in close contact with him from the outset. We’re looking forward to working closely with Louey and KSC and getting that process underway as soon as possible.”

Louey Ben Farhat said: “It’s been a long time coming, so I’m delighted to have finalised everything with Freiburg today. SC have stayed in touch throughout, and we’ve had some very detailed discussions recently about the next steps in my development. My full focus now is on KSC. I want to give everything I can to help the team be successful and make sure I’m as well prepared as possible. Then I’ll be looking forward to the next big challenge at SC Freiburg.”

The details of the contract will remain undisclosed.
