SC Freiburg confirms the transfer of Ritsu Doan to league rivals Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Japan international joined Freiburg from PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2022, making 123 competitive appearances for SC and scoring 26 goals in his time at the club. His debut in an SC shirt saw Doan, who dazzled fans with his dribbling and unique style of play during his time at the club, start away at Kaiserslautern in the first round of the DFB-Pokal, where he also notched his first goal as a Freiburg player.
"Both on and off the pitch, Ritsu was a really special player for us. He has impressively refined his game in the last three years and helped us to improve noticeably.
