Kiliann Sildillia joined SC’s U23 side in summer 2020 from FC Metz and played 52 competitive games in total for the club’s reserves. He made his Bundesliga debut in October 2021 and appeared 107 times for Freiburg’s first team. The 23-year-old won a silver medal with France at the Olympic Games in Paris last year.

“Kiliann has developed into an established professional and Bundesliga player during his five years with us – a textbook example of the pathway a young player can take at SC,” said sporting director Klemens Hartenbach. “We wish him every success with PSV in the Eredivisie and the Champions League.”
