Eren Dinkçi joined SC in summer 2024 from Werder Bremen. During his first campaign as a Freiburg player, he featured 24 times, before playing a further 10 competitive games this season, scoring in the opening round of the DFB-Pokal at Sportfreunde Lotte. The 24-year-old was also on loan at 1. FC Heidenheim last season.

Chief sporting officer Jochen Saier commented: “Eren hasn’t played as much as both he and us would have liked over the past few months, partly due to injury. Given the competition for places we have in our squad right now, a loan move is a good solution for both parties. We Wish Eren all the best for the second half of the season.”

The two clubs have agreed that the details of the loan will remain undisclosed.
