Cazoo will become the new main partner and shirt sponsor of SC Freiburg. The partnership between the club and the leading online car retailer will start at the beginning of the 2022/23 and last for several years.
As the new main partner and shirt sponsor, Cazoo will have a wide range of advertisement rights at the club’s games at the Europa-Park Stadium, including on advertising boards, media backdrops and the club’s online presence. A central component of the partnership is the shirt sponsoring of the club’s first team kit.
In addition to the first team, Cazoo will also serve as the main sponsor of SC Freiburg’s reserve (U23) team, who play in the third division and will also serve as co-sponsor of the Freiburger Fußballschule (Freiburg football school) and will have a presence among all of the club’s youth teams. Cazoo will be a co-partner and sleeve sponsor of the women’s team.
Additionally, SC Freiburg and Cazoo have pledged to focus on sustainability projects and campaigns as part of their partnership, which they will work on together. This can include campaigns in areas such as electromobility and/or hybrid driving, as well as joint projects in the field of environment or exercise.
Cazoo entered the German market in December 2021 and is considered one of thea pioneer in the introduction of the complete online purchase of used cars. The British company intends to use the partnership with SC Freiburg to increase its brand awareness in Germany and is also pursuing a similar strategy in other European markets such as England, France and Spain and has entered several sponsorship partnerships for this purpose.
