Freiburg’s Europa League campaign will begin on Thursday evening, after making it to the round of 16 last season. SC will play away against Olympiacos on the first matchday of the group stages (21:00 CEST).

The draw for this year’s Europa League was completed at lunchtime on Friday at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. SC Freiburg will play against West Ham United, Olympiacos and FK TSC Backa Topola in Group A.

SC Freiburg haven’t managed to start the season with three consecutive victories in their history in the Bundesliga – after their wins against Hoffenheim and Bremen they now have the chance to do just that on Saturday in Stuttgart (kick-off at 15:30 CEST).
