Freiburg are set to take on Hamburger SV on Friday, 13th January 2023, in what will be their final outing before the Bundesliga restarts. The match, which was originally scheduled for 15:00 CET, will now kick off at 12:30 CET.

SC Freiburg opened the year with a 3-2 win in a friendly against FC Basel. An own goal from Taulant Xhaka opened the scoring (11’) before Michael Gregoritsch (55’) and Lucas Höler also got on the scoresheet (104’).

The 20-year-old defender has extended his stay and will be promoted to the first team with immediate effect.

Kevin Schade has been sent on loan Premier League side Brentford. The London club are currently sat ninth in the English top flight and Schade will be with the Bees until the end of the season, after which a permanent move is expected.

The right-back is going into his eighth year in the Bundesliga with Freiburg.

Keven Schlotterbeck has joined VfL Bochum on loan for the remainder of the season.
