On Saturday evening, SC Freiburg drew 2-2 with FC Augsburg in their first game of the second half of the season. After going 2-0 down, SC rallied and got back on level terms thanks to goals from Yuito Suzuki and Igor Matanovic.

SC Freiburg are set to kick off the second half of their Bundesliga campaign with a trip to face FC Augsburg on Sunday, 18th January (kick-off at 17:30 CET).

SC Freiburg slipped to a 2-0 away defeat at RB Leipzig on matchday 17. After a balanced first half, both goals came shortly after the restart.

The attacker, who was most recently on loan at Legia Warszawa, will now continue his spell away from SC Freiburg at Bundesliga 2 side Hannover 96 instead.

SC Freiburg can confirm that midfielder Robert Wagner has completed a loan move to Dynamo Dresden.

SC Freiburg signed off the year with their first away victory since September, edging a thrilling 4-3 win at VfL Wolfsburg. Philipp Treu, Vincenzo Grifo and Derry Scherhant were on target for the visitors, with an own goal from the hosts completing the scoring.

The Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) have released the dates and kick-off times for five further matchdays in the new year. SC Freiburg will be in action three times on a Sunday and twice on Saturday afternoon during this timeframe.
