Matchday 9 sees SC Freiburg travel to the capital to take on Union Berlin on Saturday, 1st November (15:30).

SC Freiburg secured safe passage to the DFB-Pokal round of 16 with a 3-1 victory away at Fortuna Düsseldorf. Igor Matanovic (1’), Vincenzo Grifo (6’) and Derry Scherhant (90+3’) found the net for SC.

SC Freiburg travel to Fortuna Düsseldorf on Wednesday evening (20:45 CET) in the second round of the DFB-Pokal.

After a run of five Bundesliga games without defeat, SC were beaten on Matchday 8 of the Bundesliga. Freiburg suffered a 2-0 defeat away to Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

On matchday three of the 2025/26 Europa League SC Freiburg ran out as 2-0 winners against FC Utrecht. Yuito Suzuki (20’) and Vincenzo Grifo (45’) bagged the goals for SC.

SC Freiburg host FC Utrecht on Thursday evening (21:00 CEST) on matchday 3 of the league phase of this season’s UEFA Europa League.

On matchday 7 of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season, SC Freiburg played out a 2-2 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt. After Derry Scherhant gave SC an early lead (2’), a late Vincenzo Grifo’s equaliser rescued a point for the home side (87’).

The international break is well underway, giving SC Freiburg a well-deserved break after two jam-packed weeks of domestic and European football. For some at the club though, there is to be no break, as international duty calls. Three players have made appearances for their national sides, while another has been forced to withdraw from his side’s squad due to injury.
