SC Freiburg travel to Fortuna Düsseldorf on Wednesday evening (20:45 CET) in the second round of the DFB-Pokal.

After a run of five Bundesliga games without defeat, SC were beaten on Matchday 8 of the Bundesliga. Freiburg suffered a 2-0 defeat away to Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

On matchday three of the 2025/26 Europa League SC Freiburg ran out as 2-0 winners against FC Utrecht. Yuito Suzuki (20’) and Vincenzo Grifo (45’) bagged the goals for SC.
