The Bundesliga has released the fixture list for the 2026/27 season. SC Freiburg will start with a home game against Werder Bremen, before travelling to newly promoted Paderborn on matchday 2.

SC will begin preparations for the 2026/27 campaign with a first public training session at the Europa-Park Stadion on 12th July. At the end of the month, the squad will travel to Schruns for a ten-day training camp, where they will also play two friendlies against Derby County and Greuther Fürth. The first competitive games of the season await in mid-August. SC will begin their campaign with the Conference League play-off round and the first round of the DFB-Pokal, before the Bundesliga season gets under way on the final weekend of August.

SC will open the league season in front of their own fans, welcoming Werder Bremen to the Europa-Park Stadion on matchday 1 (29th-31st August). As was the case last season, the Breisgau side will face a newly promoted team away from home on matchday 2. This time, the trip will be to Paderborn, who secured promotion by beating VfL Wolfsburg in the relegation play-off. Before the three-week international break at the end of September, SC will host Borussia Mönchengladbach and travel to Eintracht Frankfurt.

The first half of the season will finish in January with an away game against Borussia Dortmund (15th-17th January 2027). A week later, SC will travel to Bremen for their first game of the second half of the season. The Bundesliga campaign will come to an end on 22nd May 2027 with a home game against Borussia Dortmund.
