The DFB have confirmed the timings for the first round of matches in the DFB-Pokal. SC Freiburg will face 1. FC Kaiserslautern on Sunday, 31st July at 15:30 CEST.
SC will travel to the Fritz-Walter-Stadion to take on the recently promoted Bundesliga 2 side on 31st July (15:30 CEST).
As they were in the third tier at the time, 1. FC Kaiserslautern were drawn from the pot with all the unseeded teams. Next season, FCK will be back in Bundesliga 2 for the first time in four years. “This is probably one of the toughest draws you could get in the first round,” SC assistant coach Patrick Baier said after the draw. “However, it’s a very appealing one. The mood in Kaiserslautern is definitely very euphoric at the minute, and I’m looking forward to playing there and to a good game.”
